Smurf Kinder Surprise 2011 hunt and opening session

We found a place that we could buy the Smurfs by the box load. We only bought one box that had 2 Kinder Boxes in it, meaning we would be getting 48 Kinder Smurfs altogether. But of course 30% will be dedicated to other generic Kinder toys that is not of the Smurf range. :P

We spent about an hour going through all of them. Quite an exciting and joyful experience as you never know what you gonna get. (Do I hear the echo of the famous line from Forrest Gump about those box of chocolates?)

Funny enough, when we were done, we couldn't even complete one full set!

Gargamel was the only character that eluded us this time round.

Hush Puppies Tote Bag Plush

I have a fascination with this dog and would like to own a dog like this someday as a pet. It's the famous Bassett Hound from Hush Puppies and he's here portrayed in the form of a tote bag.

Harry Potter's Owl Hedwig Owlet

This is a ultra cute version of Hedwig from Harry Potter when she was still an owlet. Made by Trudi and it's an official item for Warner Brothers. Got this from ebay UK, as it is not so easily available in Australia.

Care Bear Share Bear 3D Pillow

Here's a Care Bears' 3D pillow of Share Bear picked up a few years ago at a local market. This one was from the US and it's apparently not sold in Australia. Definitely a keeper piece.

Mcdonalds Australia 2011 Hefty Smurf

The mcdonalds version follows closely to the current 3d movie design, not as cute as their Schleish counterparts though.
They are all toys and hefty smurf here can lift the weights, if you press a button behind his head.

Kinder surprise Smurfs 2011

With the new movie out this year, these little ones are made by Peyo, the toy company that has been responsible for smurfs for more than 20 years. Expect great quality. Spent quite an amount to complete my set, baby smurf was especially difficult for me.

Retro 1980's Snoopy mugs and vase

Although the weather didn't allow for outdoor bargain hunts but I did manage to get to an undercover one. Here, I found some rather cute Snoopy stuff that had the vintage and original Charles Shulz's prints on them with witty slogans.

Heavy rain and wind conditions and even hail today

Had to skip bargain hunting today because of unpredictable heavy rain, wind and here I've got a picture of hail stones, the size of rock salts.

Disney Cars 2 Lightning Mcqueen Pit Stop Launcher

Lightning Mcqueen accessories go well with Lightning Mcqueen variants, don't you think?

Blue Nose Friends first generation

Here's a bunch of Blue Nose Friends that were and probably still are a craze. Some of these, especially the early ones were sold out so quickly everywhere, people were willing to pay 3 times their value for one. There's some single digits here in this picture like the cat and the duckling.

Shikamaru and Sasuke from Naruto

Anime is also weakness of mine if any of my favourite characters are available.

Disney Cars 2 with Finn Mcmissile

For a limited time there was a Toys R Us exclusive for a metallic shiny Lightning Mcqueen. And he was on sale! Finn Mcmissile is pretty slick too with one of his many transformations.

Disney Cars 1 and 2

This is one of the permanent collections - the Lightning Mcqueen variants. In Cars 1, Lightning Mcqueen came in separate blister packs but not for Cars 2. At the moment, in order to get Lightning Mcqueen variants, one would need to buy him with other sets like the Mac Truck or with other Cars' characters. There's a Ferrari on the left in this picture.

Cookie Monster, 2007 by Sesame Workshop

I love finding real bargains especially if they are toys that are no longer made. I'm a little bit of a blue addict and especially like Cookie Monster from Sesame Street. This medium-small version is by Sesame Workshop 2007.  Along the way, you can find little treasures of your own. Even though, this is mainly about toys, I do sometimes come across other collectables of interest. Feel free to share here too.

Just starting my first post about my interest

Here's a spot for a chance for people who enjoy cute, soft, fluffy toys. I got into it from my few years of exposure to garage sales, yard sales, collectable fairs etc. I found out that I could get back in touch with some of my childhood favourites like Care Bears, Garfield, Hello Kitty, Snoopy, Eeyore, My Little Pony, Cookie Monster and lots more. These toys were really expensive for my family and we couldn't afford them all the time. Therefore, I would go to the toy section of these toys and just stare and dream and pretend that I owned them all in my room!

I enjoy looking for little gems of a soft toy that are not made anymore, kind of like mid-80's and early 90's or even those older than that would be just a treat!

So stay tuned as I would continually add more what I've found and share it with you here. I think I would be putting some of them up for sale too.:) once I figure out how to sell stuff here since this is my first time at blogging.
